The Problem with Most Technical Blogs These Days

Disturbed and anxious man sits on couch while a psychologist talks with him about the lack of blog comments

Solution to come in a later post, but…

The problem with your awesome technical blog that exposes new methods and techniques of doing things is that someone just copied an excerpt from your latest post. They posted it verbatim to Quora or Stack Exchange. Trust me these sites have way more domain authority than you and they will take your “random” traffic.

But I think I have some solutions to this problem especially since the name of the game is to keep progressing and moving forward. So if you are missing traffic and wonder why. You are putting out great content but not able to hit the numbers you did 1 or 2 years ago. I think I have a solution. It will come in a later post since I have to get to work now.

I've been writing online on and off for nearly 20 years now. But I have been building online businesses and trying to figure out different ways to make money online consistently for 15 years. Recently you can find me writing on https://foodieresults.com and posting odd musings to Twitter @mrhobbeys. I also have a mailing list I'm passionate about growing because email and a personal website are better ways for people to do social media.
